About Us
Music publishing house Terem-Music was founded in 2010 in Basel by Sergei Yemelyanenkov.
Sergei Yemelyanenkov was born in the town of Kerch, Ukraine. He got his music education in Simferopol musical academy (diploma: trombone-player and brass band conductor) and in Kiev State conservatoire (diploma: trombone player and orchestra soloist).
In addition he took lessons in classical guitar teaching. He worked as a trombone-player in the leading orchestras of Ukraine (The State Wind Orchestra of Ukraine, the Symphony Orchestra of Kiev Philarmonic society).
His passion for old music brought him to Basel, where he studied renaissance trombone and middle age slide trumpet in Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (school of early music).
In December 2000 "Alta Capella", a band of historical wind instruments won a regional prize for outstanding ensemble achievements.
Sergei Yemelyanenkov is in-demand as a conductor. At the moment he heads three orchestras. As a free musician he plays in various bands of early music and gives lessons of the trombone and the guitar playing.
